Hand-carved Viking Runes Cross on Hardwood.
This Rune Stave design is known as Vegvisir, which translates as “That which shows the Way”. The Icelandic Huld manuscript says this about the symbol “If this sign is carried, one will never lose one’s way in storms or bad weather, even when the way is not known.”
While each Vegvisir doesn’t have to look the same they share some things in common, the circular nature of the design and the runes located at the top of each branch coming from a central circle. This design features further Rune ‘letters’ around the side.
Runes have, of course, become incredible popular with people who practice divination and when the the letters are combined they become known as Rune Staves. Whether you’re looking for some Viking Runes as a souvenir or as a gift for a loved one they’re going to love how unique this product is. Every single one of these Celtic Cross designs are handmade and so no two will ever be alike.
